COMPREX BARIUM THREAD

Dressings

Folded, non-sterile hydrophilic gauze compresses with a radiopaque barium thread, allowing for X-ray detection, for greater safety during clinical procedures. Available in two versions:

8-ply, 10/7-threaded fabric, lightweight, flexible, and suitable for basic dressings and tamponades;

16-ply, 12/8-threaded fabric, thicker and more absorbent, ideal for procedures requiring more consistent support.

Both versions are soft, easy to handle, and designed for practical use in healthcare and nursing settings.

Fields of use
Non-sterile hydrophilic gauze compresses with barium thread are indicated for deep dressings, tamponade, fluid absorption, and preparation of non-sterile areas, offering the possibility of radiological traceability, which is essential in procedures requiring control and safety. Used in hospitals, clinics, emergency rooms, and advanced home care, they support nursing work in cleansing, wound management, and protective applications.
The 8-layer (10/7) version is ideal for lighter and more frequent procedures, while the 16-layer (12/8) version is indicated for situations requiring high absorbency or a larger swab volume.
